StatTutor is an intelligent tutoring system designed to help students learn to solve data-analysis problems by giving immediate feedback flexibly, offering hints when students have difficulty, and reiterating a general set of statistical problem-solving steps. Each of these different kinds of "scaffolding" can be reduced depending on the student's changing needs.
