Preparing for a Teacher Education Masters Program

For students whose program requirements prohibit completing certification requirements during the undergraduate years, or those who for other reasons choose to postpone certification, earning a certification after college graduation is a reasonable option.

While it is possible to earn a teaching certificate after CMU without getting a Masters degree (through a Post-Baccalaureate Certification Program), typically earning a Masters only requires a few more courses than the certificate, so it's worth the extra effort.
