PROFILE — Linda Hancock
Click to Enlarge Photo . . . Linda Hancock is beginning her twenty-fifth year at the Children's School. For 23 of those years, she taught in the Kindergarten. In 2009, Linda began her tenure as an Educational Administrator, a role in which she provides support for the preschool and kindergarten programs. Linda graduated from Chatham College with a B.A. in Psychology as well as receiving teacher certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. While teaching at the Children's School, she earned a Masters in Education at Duquesne University. She proudly serves on the scholarship selection committees for the L J Fund of The Revelli Foundation and the L J Hancock Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation, and she volunteers her time at L J's Loft, a music academy dedicated to the memory of her brother. She recently was appointed to the board of the Play It Forward Fund, a foundation that assists motivated music students in grades 5 through 12 with subsidies for private music lessons and summer music camp experiences. Linda and her fiancé, Dennis, enjoy gardening, cooking, traveling, and the performing arts.
