Kate Stevens is excited to start her first year teaching full-time at the Children's School. This past year, Kate substitute taught at the Children's School throughout the Spring and also taught art at Greenfield Elementary (K-8) as a long-term substitute teacher. She is certified in Art Education (K-12) through Carlow University. She began her interest in education as a tutor throughout college and two years as the Kindergarten Teacher's Assistant at Propel Homestead Charter School. Before becoming certified in Art Education, she studied fine arts at Maryland Institute College of Art and earned a B.A. in photojournalism at Point Park University. Kate enjoys being part of the creative processes of children no matter the subject area. She also likes exploring different cities, listening to music from around the globe, and making art.
