National Research Council Reports published by the National Academies Press

These volumes are the result of a series of meetings by special committees convened by the National Academy of Science. These committees meet several times over a period of 1 or 2 years, and collectively write and revise the text of the report. Final responsibility for the report falls on the Editors, usually comprised of the Committee Chair, and Staff from the National Research Council.
