Allied Programs

CNBC Graduate Training Program
Students interested in cognitive neuroscience are eligible to participate in the graduate training program of the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition. This program provides exposure to cognitive, computational and systems neuroscience as well as cellular and molecular neuroscience, complementing the research training offered in the department, and extending the time to complete the Ph.D to five years.

Program in Interdisciplinary Education Research (PIER):

PIER is an interdisciplinary pre-doctoral training program funded by the US Office of Education that includes students not only from Psychology, but also from Statistics, Philosophy, Economics, Human Computer Interaction, among others, aimed at preparing a new generation of researchers who will be:

(a) grounded in cutting-edge theories and methodologies in cognitive and developmental psychology, statistics, human-computer interaction and instructional technology.

(b) familiar with many of the fundamental problems facing education in America.

(c) committed to applying their skills and knowledge to solving those problems.
