Applying for Admission:Financial Aid It is the university's policy that no student from the United States or Canada who is accepted for admission and is in good standing shall be prevented from attending Carnegie Mellon because of financial need. To implement this policy, the university has an extensive financial aid program including fellowships, scholarships and grants. The department augments this program through grants and assistantships for research and training. The Training Grant Link provides more information on these programs, which may have specialized requirements. We currently provide complete support (tuition plus a 12 month stipend) for all of our graduate students for four years, and we expect to continue to provide such support for all students who enter our program. Although it is not necessary to apply separately for financial aid. the department encourages applicants to apply for national competitions (such as NSF pre-doctoral awards). Deadlines
