Research Interests

Comprehending a passage of text is especially difficult because many words do not convey the same meaning in different contexts ( e.g., BANK). The goal of my research is to understand how context can serve to disambiguate a word's meaning and guide the comprehension process. In particular, I am interested in understanding how orthographic, contextual, and semantic mappings and representations might serve in resolving a correct interpretation of a passage of text via conjoint computational/connectionist and behavioural experimentation.
