Research Interests:

I am interested in early childhood science learning, and in particular how science education can develop children's reasoning skills and approaches to learning, such as curiosity. My research has focused on using children's exploration in different contexts as a way of measuring curiosity. As a more general interest, I would like to investigate the impact of science-based curricula on at-risk children's school readiness.
