Research Interests:
I am building a system for modeling memory and knowledge. It is based
on Jones' and Mewhort's BEAGLE model of the lexicon. My system, DSHM
(Dynamically structured holographic memory), operates on any knowledge
or information structure that can represented as embedded lists of
lists. For example, an ACT-R chunk can be represented as an unordered
list of ordered slot-value pairs. The system instantiates an
interference model of memory, and generally works well for implicit
learning tasks.
I have recently been hired at CMU to work on the ICArUS project.
Details to come.
