Research experience: My research experience has been varied. I started with the University Center for Social and Urban Research at the University of Pittsburgh where I did program evaluation for a number of agencies including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Pennsylvania Department of Education. I started in the business school at Carnegie Mellon on two different projects, customer satisfaction of business clients for the United States Postal Service and an evaluation of decision making by mailing supervisors. Since then I have been working with Vicki Helgeson on projects dealing with chronic illness in the area of social psychology.
Other interests: I love anything that involves the outdoors such as kayaking, cycling, skiing, and hiking. My other interests are racquetball, playing guitar, wood carving and learning Spanish.
