Research Interests:

I have a broad interest in the social psychology of close relationships and emotion. More specifically, my research focuses on perceptions of one's partner, attachment theory, and partner support for self-expansion. My current research seeks to understand how relationship partners can help one another adjust to life transitions. I am currently conducting a study, funded by the National Institute on Aging, examining the immediate and long-term health outcomes of partner support for personal growth during the transition to retirement.
