Working on research can be a very rewarding experience. You can receive
course credit at Carnegie Mellon University for working as a research
assistant in the lab. Research assistants work nine hours per week on
research and attend and participate in our weekly lab meeting. Research
assistants are expected to work in the lab for at least a year so that they
can get a variety of training experiences. Conducting research is hard work,
but we also have a lot of fun doing it. If you are interested in getting

many applications each semester (and the lab typically has about 2 spots
open up each semester).
