Today's lectur will complete our discussion of synaptic interactions underlying behavior and then pepresent a "top-down" or macroscopic view of the brain

• We will discuss methods of studying the brain.
• Basic brain structure.
• Localization of Function (what areas of the brain are associated withspecialized functions).
• Lateralization (differences between the right and left hemispheres ofthe brain).
• Plasticity (ways in which the brain can change)
