Lecture & recitation assignments: The lecture assignments (chapters and pages) refer to the Gleitman text. A "p" or page nos. after a chapter no. indicates the chapter reading being split across two or more lectures. You may click on a highlighted lecture date for a brief topic outline or questions to think about for that day's material, and on the weekly "Lab Due" for the lab assignment due that week. In addition to Gleitman, there are readings, that will often be used as a basis for discussion in recitation. These readings are contained in the Norton Reader by Gary Marcus (indicated in the schedule by NR-author-px where x is the page no. of the first page of the article) and others that are indicated simply by highlighted author name that can be found by clicking on the reading to get the pdf file.  These pdf files can be read using Adobe Acrobat reader which you can find at Adobe's website.
