Research Interest
My area of research is the neural substrates of recognition memory. My interests are in brain imaging and the pharmacology of memory.

Research Experience
Graduate Student working with Dr. Lynne Reder 2006-Present Carnegie Mellon University; Pittsburgh, PA Our first project used ERP (event related potential) methodology to find ERP correlates of initial feeling-of-knowing. Our current project will look at fMRI images of subjects’ brains during a recognition task to see what regions are specially affected by the drug midazolam.
Undergraduate Research with Dr. Nancy Squires, 2004-2006 Stony Brook University; Stony Brook, NY I assisted Allen Azizian, a post doctorial fellow, on an ERP study of responses to pictures and words. I also worked on dual- code theory, the topic of my senior thesis.
Summer Research with Dr. Cliff Kentros Summer 2005 University of Oregon; Eugene, OR The focus of the Kentros’ lab was the functioning of place cells in the hippocampus which we studied using single-unit recordings from transgenic mice.
Summer Research with Dr. Robert Levin Summers 2001-2002 Albany College of Pharmacy; Albany, NY We conducted biochemical analysis of rat bladder tissue as part of a larger project to determine The impact of temporary ischemia (deprivation of oxygen and glucose) on the level of cellular functioning in these tissues.
