Dussy
Yermolayeva
Dussy
is a second-year PhD student studying developmental psychology. She is
interested in examining how early associations that infants form contribute
to later categorical distinctions. Her current research focuses on how
infants learn about motion properties of objects. In her free time, Dussy
enjoys working out and exploring new baking recipes.
Rosanna
Breaux
Rosanna is a senior Psychology major from
Wexford, PA and currently holds the role of Lab Manager at the Infant
Cognition Lab. She is actively involved in her sorority Tri Delta, is the
President of Psi Chi (the National Honors Society for Psychology), is a
Varsity Tartan Cheerleader, a Director and choreographer of Dancer’s
Symposium, and the Executive Director for Up ‘til Dawn. Rosanna hopes to pursue a post-grad
career in Developmental Psychopathology in the fall.
Erica
Peaslee
Erica is a senior Japanese and Psychology
double major who is also attempting to minor in Drama. She tutors at
Pittsburgh's International Baccalaureate High School, teaches a
student-lead dance class and is an active member of Dancer's Symposium,
Scotch 'n' Soda, and the Japanese Food Club. In her spare time, she enjoys
singing, cooking, and spending time with her friends.
Jenn Frazier
Jenn Frazier is a junior Civil and Environmental
Engineering major with a duel degree in Psychology. She is from Boulder,
Colorado and loves to ski. She is also a Resident Assistant, Secretary of
Psi Chi, Programming Chairperson for Up Til’
Dawn, and a member of Engineers without Borders.

Alyssa Selletti
Alyssa is a senior, working to complete a B.S.
in Psychology with specific interests in audiology and speech-language
pathology. She is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is a huge fan of the
Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.
In her spare time she loves the do gymnastics, yoga, and other
physically-fit activities. Alyssa plans to attend graduate school for
audiology directly after college.
Dasha
Adamchik
Dasha
Adamchik is a junior majoring in Psychology, and minoring in Business
Administration. She is a native
Pittsburgher and can be seen wearing her Steelers jersey every Sunday. She is also currently working at DT
Watson with Autistic children, involved in Carnegie Mellon’s Global Medical
Brigade, and her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. Dasha plans to attend graduate school in
Clinical Psychology after college.
Chuck
McKain
Chuck McKain is a junior psychology major and
religious studies minor. After graduation, he
hopes to attend graduate school in clinical psychology. In addition to working in the lab, he is
a TA and works at the Children's School.
He is also an active member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and
an Orientation Counselor. In his
free time, he enjoys writing, copious reading about popular culture, and
acquiring argyle sweaters. You can
most often find him at the Craig Street Starbucks.
Lexus
Beaman
Lexus is a Junior Psychology major. She is
originally from Long Beach, California and loves the SoCal weather, but
does not like the beach. She is a Resident Advisor for Fairfax Apartments
and, also, works at Carriage House Children's Center as a teacher's aid in the young toddler room. In her free time, Lexus
loves to eat SpongeBob macaroni and cheese and drink lots and lots of Diet
Coke.
Areej Ali
Areej Ali is a
sophomore pursuing a B.S. in Biological sciences and Psychology. She has
hopes of one day becoming a pediatrician and specializing in either
neonatology or developmental-behavioral pediatrics. She has spent most of
her life in Pittsburgh but has also lived in Pakistan,
Jordan, and Virginia. On campus, she works as a Telefund
Ambassador and is involved with Docs. She is also the Vice President of The
Triple Helix and is looking forward to volunteering at Children's Hospital
this year. She is fluent in Arabic, proficient in Urdu, and hopes to master
Spanish before thirty.
Roberta
Sefcik
Roberta
Sefcik is a junior studying psychology and bagpipe music performance. She is from Dunedin, Florida and enjoys
the Florida sunshine. Roberta is a Community
Advisor, a member of the Carnegie Mellon University Pipe Band and the
Newman Center, and the secretary of The Triple Helix and the Women’s
Leadership Institute. Roberta spends
her time away from school volunteering with the City of Dunedin instructing
middle school and high school students in the art of bagpiping.
Jillian Bringberg
Jillian is a sophomore Psychology major from
New Jersey, who is particularly interested in cognitive and developmental
psychology. She enjoys dancing, and takes dance classes at Point Park
University in her spare time. She also works as a TA for cognitive
psychology classes and a computer cluster consultant for Heinz College.
Jillian is actively involved in the Carnegie Involvement Association, and
is the head driver for their buggy team, which competes at spring carnival.
Julia
Gebhardt
Julia is a sophomore Vocal Performance major
from New Jersey. On campus, she is a member of Counterpoint (CMU's all
female a cappella group), Lambda Sigma Honor Society, Greek life, and is a
McGill Mentor. She also loves to eat ice cream, watch Grey's Anatomy, and
play guitar.
Aurelia
Henderson
Aurelia Henderson, a native of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, is a sophomore Creative Writing major focusing on
screenwriting and prose fiction. A Residential Assistant to McGill House,
she is actively involved in her sorority, Delta Delta
Delta, the 1000plus Committee, and Lambda Sigma.
In her free time, Aurelia volunteers at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
She hopes her work in the ICL, through greater understanding of learning mechanisms,
will help her to write and act more realistic characters and dialogue in
her films.
Laura
Howard
Laura is a sophomore Policy and Management
major and a Psychology Minor from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is involved
with House council, co-chairs the Homecoming Committee, and plays
volleyball for the CMU women’s club team. In her free time she loves to
bake and watch the Disney classics. After Graduation Laura hopes to head
back to Minnesota to help manage a non-profit business organization and
possibly work with Minneapolis public schools.
