A multi-year research project, From Cognitive Models of Reasoning to Lesson Plans for Inquiry brings research in cognitive psychology into the elementary science classroom through researcher-teacher collaboration, with the goal of creating practical and feasible lesson planning methods that marry the best in current cognitive science and the realities of the inner-city science classroom.
