A multi-year research project, From Cognitive Models of Reasoning to Lesson Plans for Inquiry brings research in cognitive psychology into the elementary science classroom through researcher-teacher collaboration, with the goal of creating practical and feasible lesson planning methods that marry the best in current cognitive science and the realities of the inner-city science classroom.

A Sensible Guide to Curriculum and Lesson Planning for the Mile-Wide, Mile-Deep Middle School Science Classroom This guide provides an easy-to-follow summary of the Lesson Planning for Inquiry project, linking together our various publications and more importantly, sample materials and tools that could not be adequately described nor included in the limited space allowed by our published work.
